You sucked in a breath and tightened the grip on the box you were holding. Today was the day that you were going to finally confess to your childhood friend, Yamaguchi Tadashi. You’d practically known him your whole life, since your moms were friends and you lived next door to his best friend, Tsukishima.
You figured that today was as good a day as any to tell him your feelings. You had planned out what you wanted to say: Yamaguchi, I know that we’ve been good friends for a while, and I don’t want to ruin what we have. But I’ve found that I like you as more than a friend. Would you accept these homemade cookies?
You sighed. God, this was a terrible idea. He would never agree to any of it! And how would you get him alone to talk? He was always hanging around Tsukishima, and he would surely make fun of you on the spot.
Thoughts of doubt swirled around your head, yet your feet continued to carry you into the classroom.
“Good morning (l/n)-san!” Yamaguchi smiled and gave a gentle wave, but as he did, his pencil fell from his hand and flew across the desk. Quickly he scrambled to pick it up, hoping that you didn’t notice his clumsiness.
You chuckled silently and waved back, “good morning!” Gingerly you looked around the classroom for a sign of his tall friend. Satisfied that he was nowhere to be seen, you decided that it was now or never.
“T-Tadashi-kun, can I talk to you a sec?”
His smile faded and worry took over his features, “what’s wrong?”
“Nothing’s wrong! I…” unfortunately, your prepared speech had completely fallen out of your head.
You stuttered as your eyes averted his questioning gaze. All you could do was to bow and offer him the cookies, “please accept these!”
He looked down at your bowing form, a sad smile spreading across these face.
“Tsukki’s sick today, but I’ll give these to him for you.”
“Wha…?” He must have seen you looking around for Tsukishima when you walked into the room.
“No no- those are for—“
“Settle down, everyone!”
Your teacher entered the room and cut off your explanation, forcing you to take a seat.
As the day went on your mind was completely distracted from schoolwork by thoughts of Yamaguchi’s obliviousness. Those cookies and that confession were for him, not stupid, Tsukishima! Honestly, you could not understand why girls were always throwing themselves at that boy, he was so mean! I mean, he was nicer to you since you were so close with Yamaguchi, but only by a little.
The dismissal bell rung and jolted you back into reality. You scurried down the hallway, hoping to catch Yamaguchi before his volleyball practice began.
“Tadashi-kun!” He could tell that it was you immediately, since you were one of the only people who addressed him using kun. The only thing he didn’t like about it was the endless teasing that it brought on from Tsukki, who always found new ways to quietly torment the boy over his crush on you. He turned to see you running down the stairs, taking them two at a time.
“(l/n)-san?”
You huffed, clearly out of breath from your sprint, but quickly recovered.
“I just wanted to tell you that the um… the cookies aren’t for Tsukishima,” you fumbled with your hands out of insecurity, “I made them for you.”
At first the boy didn’t say a word, he just let your words wash over him like a steady tide. She made those cookies for me. She made them. For me.
Taking his silence as a rejection, you turned to leave, but he caught your arm, “(l/n)-s-san!”
You looked up at his to find a huge blush spreading across his cheeks. His freckled face looked like it was about ready to explode.
“Thank you!”
You smiled and let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding.
“I hope you like them," you said, a huge smile now on your face.
There was no doubt in his mind that the cookies would be delicious, especially since they were given to him by you.
"I-I'm sure I will!"

It's Not Her (Tsukishima x Reader)
“You want to have one more practice match against them?” the coach asked.
“Yes,” the captain said. “Is it too much to ask for?”
The coach heaved a sigh. “As long as you don’t sprain your ankle again before the game, then I have no problems. However—I’m setting up more conditions for you.”
Oikawa stiffens. “I-I understand.”
“Iwaizumi-senpai,” a girl asks. “What practice match are they talking about?”
A guy with brown short hair turns to her. “Oh yeah, you weren’t here then. It’s a practice

"Aw c'mon, _____. Just a few drinks, and we'll take you home."
You sighed as your friends had once again talked you into drinking with them. The last time they invited you, you talked your way out safely by saying that you had errands to do for your mom. But that didn't work this time. As you walked hand-in-hand with your friends to the nearest bar, you knew you would be saying goodbye to your humanity.
"Noya, are you sure we're only going to drink only for a bit?"
The shorter male looked at you with a cheeky smile. He dragged you inside

You inhaled deeply, attempting to fill your lungs with oxygen rich air your body frantically craved. However, your attempt ended in a violent coughing fit. By the time you finished, you'd curled up into the corner of your couch, wrapped the comforter around yourself, and clutched a throw pillow as if it were your last remaining life force. Of course, there was one other thing...
"Tch. Are you still sick?"
"Like you care," you retorted, throwing the pillow in your hands at your boyfriend. He caught it with ease and set it aside. "You never get sick—and here I am, wasting a
